1. Adobe's AI Breakthrough: Unveiling Three Cutting-Edge Models

Adobe has introduced three cutting-edge AI models, named Firefly Image 2, Firefly Vector, and Firefly Design. These models bring advanced capabilities to Illustrator and Adobe Express, while significantly enhancing Photoshop's text-to-image functionalities.

Firefly Image 2 is currently accessible for experimentation through the web-based Firefly beta and will soon be integrated into Creative Cloud applications. Additionally, Adobe has introduced Firefly Vector, which they assert is the world's inaugural generative AI model tailored for vector graphics, exclusively designed for Adobe Illustrator.

2. US Space Force Enforces Ban on Generative AI Tools for Staff

The US Space Force has determined that employees within the space service are not permitted to utilize generative AI tools, including those like ChatGPT, and large-language models.


According to a report by Bloomberg, an internal memorandum authored by Dr. Lisa A. Costa, the inaugural Chief Technology and Innovation Officer of the US Space Force, was disseminated to the "Guardian Workforce" on September 29. The memo outlines the implementation of a temporary prohibition on the use of such tools until further notice.

3. Northwestern's AI-Designed Walking Robot in Action

Northwestern University has released a YouTube video showcasing a 'walking' robot, designed by a team of engineers employing AI technology. The video highlights the robot's creation from the ground up, emphasizing that it took mere seconds to construct. During their experiment with a newly developed AI algorithm, the researchers also demonstrated how the AI crafted the robot with just a simple prompt.

AI Funding:

In its latest funding round, IT management services software provider SuperOps.ai secured $12.4 million. The round was spearheaded by the current investor, Lee Fixel's Addition, and saw the addition of a new investor, March Capital.

Secoda, a startup in the process of creating an AI-driven data search and cataloging platform, has revealed a successful funding round, raising $14 million. This round was primarily led by Craft Ventures and included contributions from Abstract Ventures and multiple angel investors.
